Replacement allowance
If your GPS system fails and your covered vehicle is not located, EG Assurance will provide an allowance for you to purchase a replacement vehicle from the selling dealership.
The replacement allowance is the difference between the vehicle's value on the date of loss and a replacement vehicle's value. For example, if a customer's vehicle is valued by its insurance company settlement at $15,000 when the vehicle was stolen, and the replacement vehicle costs $20,000, then the replacement allowance is $5,000.†*

If your covered vehicle was a new vehicle*, then the replacement vehicle will be a current year version of the same make and model of your stolen vehicle.
If your covered vehicle was a used vehicle*, then the replacement vehicle will be a similar aged vehicle of the same make, model, and mileage. Replacement will be the same number of years old as the covered vehicle is on its purchase date.
